Fashionpedia, the fashion bible

Fashionpedia, the fashion bible
I received today my Fashionpedia book!
This visual encyclopedia of fashion is a real goldmine for fashion professionals or passionate (professionals, students, bloggers, journalists, etc.).
In fact, it transcribes the story and evolution of fashion, styles, tendencies, different types of clothes, their details, accessories of all kinds, materials, different types of textiles and their peculiarities, the characteristics of the body and its beauty enhancement. It doesn’t forget also technical details, the production of clothes and accessories, the care of materials.
All this in a same place! This is a kind of giant archive miniaturized of fashion.
A little jewel between culture, inspiration and productivity.
Furthermore, it is too lovely. As a result, I couldn’t resist.

This encyclopedia is edited by Fashionary (fashion + dictionary), designer of sketchbooks for fashion professionals.
They are composed of two parts: a part with technical information (brands, patterning books, body parts measurements and sizes indexes, basic pattern blocks, clothes, underwear, accessories, clothes details drawings, etc… as for the Fashionpedia book but more summarized.
The other part has human shapes, men or women (according to the sketchbook chosen) to design easily outfits, to set up ideas, to draw technical and details sketches to create fashion collections.
Fashionary created a range of useful and innovative products to answer to designer’s expectations.

I received as a gift a few years ago the women’s sketchbook to design my collections, their details and add fabric samples.
