It’s one of the designs of the collection Sortilèges I have made first with the cloak Tenebrae. The collar necklace Mystéria is made from silk adorned with flowery guipure lace, handmade silk roses and amethyst and rose quartz beads.
Here are in images the steps of the making of this unique piece.
– Above all, the base of the necklace must be done. It’s made from silk and lined with silk with satin ribbons to attach it around the neck.
– After having carefully sewn this base, I cut pieces of guipure lace and sewn symmetrically each one by hand on the necklace.
– Next step but not the least: the making of the silk roses.
A big silk rose for one side and a smaller one for the other side giving the necklace a kind of asymmetry breaking with the symmetry laces of the necklace.
Each flower is completely handmade (cutting, painting, shaping thanks to traditional tools for flower making art) and sewn by hand.
– Small final touch: the making of a flower made from amethyst and rose quartz beads.
