I like to take up new artistic challenges. And it’s when I was preparing the collection Résonance that I experienced a new haute couture technique, silk flower making art thanks to traditional tools and florists molds to give relief to my designs.
The crown of roses “Beauté Fatale” (Fatal Beauty) is a great example of it.
Between dark romanticism, rock and femme fatale, The crown “Beauté Fatale” (fatal beauty) is a majestic design. It is composed of a headband covered with a black satin ribbon, a base made from silk edged with a black braid gimp.
It is adorned with 4 burgundy red dupioni silk roses completely handcrafted thanks to traditional tools for flower making art.
Pewter skull heads from the brand Alchemy Gothic come and sat on inside each rose.
This design is a limited edition to 3 items and exclusively made to order.
More than a simple headband or a crown of flowers, it’s a real headdress.
This headdress is composed of a headband covered with black satin ribbons. It ends with a thin black elastic that permits the crown to stay in place despite movements. It also has a rigid base made from black silk edged with a black braid gimp.
Handmade roses are a long and careful work. In fact, their making involves many steps: the fabric has to be prepared, numerous petals of different sizes are drawn, cut, shaped with tools and assembled one by one.
Leaves are shaped thanks to a mold that permits to shape the grooves and are then added to the roses.
I chose to create a romantic and rock crown by adorning it with head skulls from the jewelry and accessories reference brand in the gothic, metal, vintage, steampunk and rock worlds Alchemy Gothic. Their designs are handmade is in their workshops in Leicester (Great Britain).
The head skulls are made from pewter, high quality semi-precious metal.
Like all the hats and big headdresses, this crown is delivered inside a hat box in order to protect it from manipulations and dust.
